We are delighted to have added the BioCube to our range of environmentally enriching products.
The BioCube is a unique patented product that has been developed to create species-rich ecosystems, and directly address the need for biodiversity net gain. This is achieved through the creation of integrated habitats capable of supporting small mammals, amphibians, microorganisms, and invertebrates. It’s best suited to large residential, community or commercial settings.
With the new Government new mandatory rules commencing in 2023 to ensure Biodiversity net gains on development sites, the BioCube is an essential addition to projects for planners, developers and architects.
They are a durable and robust construction. The unit itself requires minimal maintenance, if any at all, does not require painting and is weather resistant. Any maintenance would be dependent on your planting scheme and how you choose to use the three multipurpose units.
BioCubes can be joined together to form a larger interconnected unit dependent upon the needs of the site. Each BioCube us made from recycled or recyclable materials.
HOW IT WORKS
The design is a layered system of interconnected habitats which bring together a broad spectrum of species in a mutually supportive ecosystem. The combination of wet and dry habitats, with integrated nesting areas and refuges, provide homes for rare and endangered species from hoverflies to hedgehogs.
Each habitat within the BioCube has been carefully located to provide protection and insulation from external influences such as predators, extreme temperatures, and noise.
